The Word of God ♦ Bible Archaeology

People and places

The Bible speaks about a lot of people, places and nations. Many of them were once a subject of dispute, because there was no other mention about them in other historical records. Now, nobody can claim them as false, because their authenticity was proven by archaeological discoveries.

The famous cities of Sodom and Gomorrah and other surrounding cities were considered fairy tales. The tablets discovered at the famous city of Ebla prove that Sodom and Gomorrah were real, and they were on a very important route from Ebla to Damascus.

Hittites, Horites and Edomites were also denied as false, but the discoveries proved that those nations were once living.

King David, one of the most prominent figures of the Old Testament, was also considered to be invented by Hebrew writers. The archaeology proved he was real.

Book of “Acts” from the New Testament, written by doctor Luke, was once considered full of errors. Now, the evidence shows that Luke can be considered one of the biggest historians because of the precise description of the conditions that were in the second part of the first century.

These are only a few examples. The list is much bigger and the resources provided below will help you understand the accuracy of biblical records.

Research Topics:

Although many scholars have tried to criticize the text of the Bible, it still remains the most accurate and reliable from all other ancient writings.

Archaeology has proved the accuracy of the biblical historical records, and continues to prove it as new discoveries come to light.

The fulfillment of biblical prophecies prove the divine inspiration of the Bible, and give us confidence in the fulfillment of the prophecies that still wait to happen on the second coming of the Lord Jesus Christ!

While all other religious writings have their own famous characters, only the Bible has the resurrection of Jesus as the most powerful evidence of trust.

The Bible is one of the many so-called Holy Books. But when carefully examined, it is by far superior and unique. There is no other writing that could compare with it!
