The Word of God ♦ Bible vs other writings

Bible is unique

There are many so-called Holy Books, and each claims that it has a divine inspiration. All have teachings that define right from wrong and call for all the people to surrender their lives to their authority.

But when carefully examined, the Bible proves to be by far superior and unique. There is no other writing that could compare with it! It is unique from multiple perspectives and continues to be reliable over the centuries.

The Bible is unique because the core of its message is the salvation brought by Jesus Christ through its death and resurrection. All other Holy Books speak about gods and prophets that offer salvation for humankind, but there is no other god except the God of the Bible who was willing to give His only son - Jesus Christ - as a sacrifice to save the people from the disaster brought by their sinful life. The resurrection is unique and proves that Jesus Christ is God and everything He said is true and it will be fulfilled in detail.

The Bible is also unique because it proves to be historically accurate. Although history is not the main purpose of the Bible, the Bible speaks about a lot of historical events, people and places. The accuracy of the biblical historical records continues to surprise archaeologists and until today there is no real archaeological discovery that could contradict biblical history.

The Bible is unique in the way it was written. About 40 different authors contributed to the 66 books of the Bible, in about 1500 years, using three different languages and a variety of literary styles. But still, it is unique in the unity of its message.

The Bible is unique in terms of its manuscripts. There is no other ancient book that can compare with the Bible in the number of available manuscripts and the small difference of time between the original writings and the oldest manuscripts available. Also, the preservation of the text over time is also unique.

The Bible is unique in the prophecies it provides. It is one thing to claim prophetic knowledge, and it is completely different to prove authentic prophecies with literal fulfillment. But the Bible has a lot of fulfilled prophecies about Jesus Christ and other people, places and nations.

There is no other book like the Bible. It was translated in almost all the languages and dialects of the world, and has so many printed copies that none of the best-seller books can ever approach it. It is by far the book that inspired and changed so many lives over the centuries and it always remains reliable and accurate.
