What the Bible says ♦ Salvation

Receiving Salvation

From God’s perspective, salvation is done. “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life. For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but in order that the world might be saved through him. Whoever believes in him is not condemned, but whoever does not believe is condemned already, because he has not believed in the name of the only Son of God.” (John 3:16-18, NIV) And he offers salvation to all people that believe in him, confess their sins and ask for his forgiveness.

“If you declare with your mouth, “Jesus is Lord,” and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For it is with your heart that you believe and are justified, and it is with your mouth that you profess your faith and are saved. As Scripture says, “Anyone who believes in him will never be put to shame.” (Romans 10:9-11, NIV)

If you want to be saved from eternal destiny in hell, you need to know a few things. First of all, God is the only Lord and he is the one who defines what is good and what is wrong. There are no other gods, and there are no other standards of good and evil, except the Bible.

Then you need to understand that you are a sinner. All things that you made and all thoughts that you had and were opposite to God’s word, are sins. It doesn’t matter if you did many sins or less sins. It doesn’t matter if you committed horrible sins, or sins that apparently are small, like lying or hating. A single sin is enough to make you a sinner. And the punishment for sin is death: eternal death in hell.

The next thing you need to know is that you can not save yourself. There is no way to get rid of your sins through your power. All the sins you did are stuck on your soul and you can’t wash them out with anything. You need to understand that your condition is completely hopeless! It is not “a tough condition”, it is not something like “partially bad”, but instead is “completely hopeless”!

If you understand the above mentioned things, and you are sorry for your sins, then you need to know that there is a solution! There are no multiple solutions, it is only one. This solution is Jesus Christ, the Son of God, who died on the cross for the sins of all people, including yours. Jesus Christ is the only way of salvation, and you can be included too!

If you are sorry for your sins, come to Jesus and he can wash all your sins! He can restore your life and make you a new person. This is like being born again, and it is related to your interior, your heart and your soul. A new person means that God changes your life completely and he will put his Holy Spirit to live in you and strengthen you, in order to live a life in accordance with the will of God.

If you repent of your sins and come to Jesus, he will forgive you! Don’t hesitate and decide today to follow him. Don’t wait, because waiting can make you lose this opportunity. The Bible clearly says that people can repent only while they are alive. After death, nobody can do anything. You die with the destiny established while you were living.

If you accept Jesus as your Lord and Savior, and if you follow him and obey his word, then your destiny will be with Jesus, for eternity, in the most happiness and fulfillment that can be. But if you reject Jesus, your death will confirm your final destiny in hell, in the most horrible place that exists. Hell was originally created for Satan and his angels, but it is also the destination for all the people who reject Jesus Christ.

Jesus said: “Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest.” (Matthew 11:28, NIV)

Research Topics:

The Bible has a lot to say about our existence, purpose and destiny. And because it is true, it is worth listening to!

Although human souls are eternal, the human condition is fallen and irrecuperable by any kind of human intervention.

Jesus answered, “I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.” (John 14:6)
