Creation vs Evolution ♦ Big Bang

“Axis of Evil” and “Cold Spot”

Another prediction related to the CMB was that there should be small differences in the temperatures of CMB caused by variations in density of the universe in its early stages. These density variations are very important for the Big Bang model, because they explain how it was possible to form the structure of stars and galaxies. Without those density variations, it is impossible to have a universe like it is today.

Density variations imply also slight temperature differences in the CMB. The initial mapping of the CMB across the sky was done by COBE probe in 1989, without finding any differences because of the incapacity of the instruments of that time to measure temperature differences lower than 0.0003 K. But other probes that were launched in 2001 (WMAP) and 2009 (Planck) had much more sophisticated instruments and were able to identify very small fluctuations in the CMB. This was considered by the cosmologists as another proof to support the Big Bang theory, although they had to adapt it in order to fit the data.

But the successful mapping of CMB has raised big issues that are hard to explain by cosmologists. There are two regions in the map that can’t be explained by the model.

One of them is called “The Axis of Evil”, which is a vast region with much higher temperatures that the model can predict. And more, this region is perfectly aligned with the plane of our solar system. This alignment of a huge structure in the universe with our solar system is really hard to explain by natural processes. The second area is called “The Cold Spot” and it has much lower temperatures than the model can predict.

When those two regions were first discovered by the WMAP probe, they were considered faulty measurements. But the more sophisticated Planck probe confirmed again in more detail their existence right where the previous probe found them.

Even though cosmologists have tried to explain them, until now there is no real proof for what actually causes the existence of the two regions in CMB. They can’t be caused by density variations of the early states of the universe. So, the easiest way of handling the lack of explanations is by ignoring the facts.

Follow the links below and read more on this interesting topic. CMB is indeed a big discovery, but it does not support the Big Bang model.

Fossils are like “photos” of a lost world. They can “speak” without words, but with strong evidence. Is it really for Evolution?

Our origins define not only our past, but also our present and our future. What do we have in common with apes? Do we have a common ancestor, or a common creator?

Biology and Chemistry have provided a lot of incredible findings in the past decades. Instead of supporting evolution, they prove an intelligent designer.

Since it was discovered in 1869, DNA has fascinated the scientific world and proves to be the best information storage system. There is no naturalistic mechanism to explain its existence.

Rock layers cover vast regions and form the Earth’s crust. While secular scientists are very confident that they were deposited during long geologic ages, a lot of evidence has been brought to support the contrary.

Math is defined as the science and study of quality, structure and space. It is one of the most powerful tools used in different domains, and it is proof of an intelligent designer!
